Having a Guardian was still so strange for Summer. Deep down she couldn't help but feel like it was what happened when Finn died all over again but at least this time it was her choice and she knew what she was letting herself in for. It was her choice to be with Micheal and it was a decision that she would make again in a heartbeat. He made her happy and that was something she had never thought that she would find again after her husband died. Ever since then she had been focused on raising her girls and keeping them safe so the idea of starting a new relationship hadn't even been on her radar. Her feelings for Micheal had completely taken her by surprise but what surprised her more was the fact that he felt the same way. Even now months later it still felt a little surreal but she knew that she wouldn't have it any other way. She had resisted at first when Micheal had suggested she have someone there to keep her and the girls safe, she had never thought that it would be something she would ever agree to given the protective measures that were put in place when her husband died, but she had seen how scared Micheal was after his predecessor and the mistress the guy had kept secret from everyone were killed and she knew that she didn't want him to have to worry about her and the girls as well. He already had enough on his plate and he had Grace to think about as well so she wanted to make things as easy for him as she could.
Working at Hogwarts and having Bo's wife Evelyn assigned to protect her and the girls wasn't quite what she had expected but so far it was working out pretty well forboth of them. Evelyn had young children of her own and they went to the same daycare as the girls so she got to see them a lot even when she was working. The girls were Evelyn's main focus, that was something Summer had insisted on when she had agreed to having a Guardian in the first place, but Summer would be lying if she said she didn't feel safer knowing the woman was there. Summer knew she didn't have to worry while she was in the castle and her house was warded but that day she had the day off work and she needed to go out and get a few things for the girls so it was time for a shopping trip. Getting the girls settled in their pushchair, Summer double checked the bag she kept full of things the girls would need before grabbing her handbag and slipping her wand and phone into her pockets. "Sorry for dragging you out for this, the girls are growing so quickly half their clothes seem to be too small for them now," she admitted as she looked over at Evelyn. "I'm ready to go if you are."
