Dex's Team

I’m going to do my best not to keep referring to this group as Team Arrow and I’ll probably end up failing miserably so you have been warned.

Dexter has currently just returned after being held prisoner for the last three years and the rest of the world thought he was dead. He went on holiday to Ecuador with nineteen of his friends from Hogwarts in June 2019 and he was the only one to return alive. Ransom videos were sent to their families and the media, the meals and water the boys were given were all laced with a potion to suppress their magic and over the years some of his friends were killed while others were kept alive so the group who took them could keep on extorting money from their families. A week ago (May 2022 site time), the group finished their scheme. The families had stopped paying so they sent out an incentive – the family of the captive who paid the most would be returned safely to them. A few families paid up and the group had enough money to set them up for life so they decided to kill Dex’s remaining friends. He was the last to be brought out to be killed but he managed to escape, transform into his animagus form and kill his captors before making it to safety.

Full details of Dex’s history can be found in his app. Now he is back and he is adjusting to being back among civilisation once more and slowly but surely he will be returning to his job at the Ministry. Eventually Dex will be given the chance to lead his own team consisting of people he will handpick for the task. That group won’t have to answer to higher ups within the Ministry, Dex will be reporting anything they find directly to MICHEAL ALEXANDER HERONDALE, the Minister for Magic. The group’s primary focus will be to locate and infiltrate the Enlightened, gather as much information about them as they can and try to identify those who are running the show. There are lots of people already working on this both Ministry workers and Guardians alike but this group is different as it is open to both new and existing characters of all ages and from all walks of life. Some of these roles are just ideas and a lot of them can be changed to suit. Other roles can also be added, these are just ones I thought would be good for the team. I see this team as all being able to rely on each other to the point that they’ll become a family.

Please note that, other than the person referred to below as “the spy”, all of the other members of the group must be either neutral or members or supporters of the Order of the Phoenix.

DEXTER ASHER TALLIS – THE LEADER

Dex is the leader of the group and will be handpicking the others to work alongside him when the time comes. Due to his past he doesn’t trust easily so it would be good for him to start getting to know some of the below in advance.

KELSEY JORDAN ABRAHAM – OVERWATCH/HACKER

Kelsey is Dex’s soulmate, they began their relationship during their fifth year and it continued until Dex was imprisoned. Kelsey is incredibly intelligent and a gifted hacker and she will be the voice in their ears telling them where they need to go and exactly where the danger is after hacking into CCTV feeds or using their tech to give her the vantage points she needs to effectively guide the team from a distance.

JULIAN LEROUX – THE ADVISOR

Julian, Dex and Emily have all been best friends since they were in muggle primary school together. Julian faced a lot of struggles while he was growing up as one of his parents is human while the other is a werewolf and a lot of people liked to torment Julian about becoming a werewolf one day himself, something that Dex always put a stop to. Julian did in fact carry the werewolf gene and now he serves as an advisor to Dex and works in the field with him other than during the full moon for obvious reasons.

Julian and Emily have been in a relationship since shortly after Dex and the others were taken although the feelings had been there for years before they realised that life was too short and decided to make a go of it.

When Dex’s older sister Cece died over Christmas during their first year at Hogwarts, Dex tried to hide how he was feeling from the rest of the world but Julian and Emily were the ones who realised something was wrong and encouraged him to let out how he was feeling whenever it was just the three of them alone together. Julian and Emily were both in Gryffindor at the same time as Dex.

EMILY PRYCE – THE VOICE OF REASON

Emily has been best friends with Julian and Dex ever since they were at muggle primary school together and she has always been the most level headed out of the three of them. She and Julian have been in a relationship since shortly after Dex and the others were taken although the feelings had been there for years before they realised that life was too short and decided to make a go of it.

Emily serves as the voice of reason, able to talk Dex and Julian down when most others would fail. She has a good heart and makes them listen to their conscience rather than just rushing in and doing something foolish. She can either fight on the frontlines alongside Dex, Julian and the other field agents or work in the background with Kelsey.

This person was assigned to protect Dex after he returned to the UK. The families of his friends were all notified of his survival and the return of the bodies of their lost loved ones and it was anticipated that there would be some fallout from that. A lot of the families were angry that Dex had survived when their loved ones hadn’t even though he had known a lot of the families personally before the trip and this person was assigned to make sure that no harm came to Dex. Unfortunately Dex can be stubborn, he hated being cooped up in hospital and managed to give this person the slip when he discharged himself. He went to his sister’s grave and saw his own grave for the first time which was right next to it and it is there that he and Kelsey were reunited. This person would have eventually tracked Dex down somewhere after that reunion – either home or he might have hidden his face and gone for a quiet drink somewhere that he could just observe the world going on without him truly being a part of it, and over time these two will become good friends. Dex doesn’t believe he needs protection right now but he’ll be grateful that someone has his back when something does happen.

This person should be skilled at hand to hand combat and will train with Dex in that manner regardless of whether or not this person is a Guardian or works for the Ministry. They will be one of the field agents in the team.

OPEN NAME – THE CHAMELEON


Species: Metamorphmagus | Age: Open | Job: Anything other than Hitwizard | Face Claim: Open

This person is a metamorphmagus and it is their job to use those abilities to change their appearance to get information that the team would otherwise have to rely on a batch of polyjuice potion to be able to obtain. TEDDY REMUS LUPIN holds that role among Hitwizards so this person would need to work for a different department if they work in the Ministry.

This person joined the Enlightened because they thought they were going to help the magical community and stop them having to live in the shadows, they didn’t expect all the killing that ensued. This person had an attack of conscience but hasn’t been able to find a way to leave the Enlightened so they will be a valuable member of Dex’s team working to bring down the Enlightened from within and feed information back to the team.

Every team needs someone who doesn’t have as much experience as the others and can learn a lot from them. That’s where this person comes in and I imagine they’ll work closely with Dex and the others to learn as much as they can. They would preferably be a field agent but could work in the background if preferred.

This person is more reckless than the others and doesn’t mind putting themselves in danger to get what they want. They’ll take risks the others won’t and probably gets hurt more than anyone else as a result.

This person works in the background alongside Kelsey. They are incredibly intelligent and work with her and the rest of the team to put together the pieces of information they are able to gather. This person is perhaps also a bit of a tech expert other than when it comes to hacking with his Kelsey’s area of expertise.

CORA ABIGAIL BREWSTER – THE HEALER

Cora is the Healer of the group, she is the person the team turns to when they need someone to heal any injuries they sustain. Due to the nature of their work they won’t be able to go to St Mungo’s but Cora is always either on hand when they need her or i just a call away.
