We are rockets pointed up at the stars
we are billions of beautiful hearts
Savannah didn't really like the cold, she liked aspects of it, the aesthetic of it, but the actual air temperature of cold she wasn't a fan of. The cold made her feel like hibernating, or the pre-requisite of hibernation of stuffing her face before taking the lengthy nap. However, with the cold weather did give her the greatest joy of hot chocolate, and she was a fan of that. It wasn't that she couldn't drink it all year round, it was available even if less common, it was simply that it didn't have the same taste as when she was chilled and needed something to warm her through with one of the several mugs she used for the occasion. Said quantity of mugs driving her mum insane when it came to storing and cleaning, but given magic was used quite frequently in the Forrester-Maddox home, it wasn't a real problem, her mum just liked to give her a hard time, and in turn Savannah liked to return the favor. Which was why she was currently holding yet another new mug, filled with the sweet hot chocolate as she sat in the comfy chair in the common room, her Transfiguration textbook on one side of her and her school-issued computer on the other with a blank document that was supposed to be her essay. It had the title of the topic and everything, but where the words were supposed to be was frustratingly blank. She needed to do this essay, but she didn't particularly feel like doing it, sighing audibly before lifting the mug to her lips and sipping the hot chocolate she'd asked the kitchen elves to prepare for her the large thermos filled to the brim with the perfection of the season. Smiling to herself at the inspiration she grabbed her phone and opened the camera taking a selfie of herself and her new mug with the tag #newmug and sending said picture to the group chat of her parents along with a halo emoji.
Less angelic all the while, the Hufflepuff was still amused as she put down her mobile device, tucking her blonde hair behind her ears as she flipped the book closed with an audible snap, deciding Transfiguration would have to wait another day, and only one other day otherwise she'd be falling seriously behind, and as she'd already learned her lesson on that particular front, she wasn't prepared to pull an all-nighter to get herself caught up. She needed her beauty sleep after all. Homework just wasn't speaking to her, she needed to converse and laugh with friends, she hadn't gotten much time to do so with Samuel earlier, he had been busy all day and with his own friends, and some of his friends were in that phase where they became neanderthals and stared at Savannah when she was around, and she knew it irritated her twin and hated even more the ones who openly ogled and tried hitting on her; her protective brother refusing to even allow the possibility of his friends date his sister, which apparently said sister had no say in. This had left her with a very low social interaction level today, and Savannah wanted to fill that void. "I'm bored." She said aloud with a sigh, casting glances around the common room to see who else might seem bored, or at least not occupied enough to hangout with her for a bit.
