Amelia was on the hunt. It had been two days since she had found out about her sister’s feelings for some girl named Bailey, and she was determined to figure out everything there was to know about the girl. Her questions had brought her to the single best source of information on any given person - a sister. Sisters knew everything about each other. That had to be true because it’s how she and her sister were. Family was meant to be a single close unit that looked out for each other and that meant they had to know things about each other. If they didn’t it would be like they weren’t family at all, which would be a total waste.
The girl that had been pointed out to her by another student was in the same year as her, so she’d seen her around in some classes. She seemed to be much more well behaved than Bailey was. The younger sibling was always speaking out of turn in class, although to her credit she always seemed to have the right answer when the teachers tried to catch her off guard. They shared a single class together, but it was enough to Amelia not to like Bailey.
Bailey Carrow. She’d put that together based on her sister’s last name. She’d heard rumours of a certain Amycus Carrow who used to teach at the school years ago and it made her even less convinced of Bailey’s good intentions. If he was such an evil man, how could his children be any different. Then again, Amelia didn’t like judging people before she got to know them. Maybe the rumours had been built upon by years of misinformation. Even then the man seemed pretty bad. Maybe she should just judge the Carrow siblings by what she actually knew about them, which was depressingly little so far.
As she entered the dining hall, her gaze travelled across the Slytherin table. Bailey was no where to be seen, but she spotted her sister and approached with an unearned confidence. She plopped down right next to the other girl and pulled an apple out of her cloak. She didn’t have to eat since she was a vampire, but she liked fitting in during meal times. “Iris Carrow,” she announced, proud of herself for having remembered the girl’s full name. “You’re Bailey’s sister, right? I’ve got some questions for you.”
