There wasn't such a thing as too much flying and too much Quidditch, not if you asked a red-headed Gryffindor that was Blair Reid. Nothing also made her hungrier than a rousing friendly match where the cost of that food was either double or free due to a bet, and combining the thrill of a bet along with the thrill of a friendly match with people she called friends was a sure-fire bet to make sure Blair put all her effort into it, even if she would have anyways. Despite the chill in the air, there was sweat rolling down her as she touched down on the grass after the match had ended. Instead of using a snitch both due to a lack of seekers in the friendly game and to make sure the match didn't go on for ages and could be called at any time, they'd played for points instead. The first team to get them won. That was it. Of course, the group was enthusiastic and set the threshold to victory high but that wasn't Blair's position so she didn't worry too much about the points and let the chasers do the chasing while she did the beating. More than one time during the match she had to remind herself that this was a friendly game and not to let her swings get rough and dangerously placed, but it was a flying ball that was designed to knock players off their brooms it didn't know it was a friendly game and she followed the rhythm of the balls and when the scorekeeper on the sidelines announced that Blair's team was the winning one she'd flew to Amelia with a beaming smile, "I'll take it easy on you and get the bare minimum of food this time." She teased with a wink and headed down to do a mini celebration with the makeshift team before grabbing a quick shower to both thaw, for she didn't see much a point in the brief warming charms that others applied and cleanse off the sweat followed by throwing on her sweatshirt and jeans she'd worn down to the pitch stuffing her practice robes she'd worn for the friendly game in the bag containing her broom, who she affectionately calls Buaidh and hid it securely until she returned for it later before brushing out her long hair and then magically drying it and finding Amelia waiting for her. "Can vampires get like ravenously hungry for food like I feel right now?" She asked as they started the trek to Hogsmeade where they'd agreed to go to fulfill the terms of the bet, but more importantly have a long overdue catching up.
Talking about food and the match carried them to the shop with ease as they found a table after Blair insisted on a pitstop to Honeydukes, which was crammed pack of people but after some hassle managed to secure a few bloodpops for Amelia and a staggering amount of saltwater taffy for herself. Blair knew that she'd be running several extra laps to keep in shape after indulging in several of these taffies in one sitting but her metabolism was insanely high and after that workout of a match she'd more than earned it. Tossing the bag of sweets in the chair that neither girl was using she got a butter beer to start while she pondered what she actually wanted to eat, she could eat the menu itself when she felt as ravenous as she was, but given that was generally frowned upon she withheld the urge to do both that and order everything on the menu. "So how is the fam? Staying safe in the chaos?" She asked after taking a swig of the delicious butterbeer the waitress had set in front of her. In today's dangerous times it was almost a necessary question, to ask after the health and safety of the other person's loved ones and make sure they were still okay. Vampire or not Amelia wasn't automatically saved from chaos, though she remembered the days when she thought vampires were these unkillable, minus the sun, creatures. Learning that they could fall from spells the same as mere witches and wizards had humbled her to the delicacy of life, and how she couldn't understand why people gave Amelia a hard time for being what she was. It wasn't as if it could be changed, and it didn't make her that different from them, hell the aversion they had to the sun wasn't all that different from the fair-skinned like Blair who burnt easily, and if that was a qualifier she was sure there were plenty of Scottish vampires who hid what they were extremely well. Not to mention she just found Amelia an amazing person and didn't regret putting anyone who even considered bullying her in their place with all that fire and spirit of some Scottish warrior of the past.
