Micheal was seething. Seething and thankful that despite having heightened senses as a vampire that made his seething anger much more dangerous to the safety of others that he also had the years of control to keep him from lashing out with that anger. He reminded himself all the way to Summer's, walking with a human pace to allow him to simmer down that he was the Minister and he had to restrain himself but damn was it hard and it'd been a long time since he'd been so tempted. His daughter was his life and someone has tried to take her from him. Someone had intentionally tried to murder his daughter by removing the necklace that kept her safe from the sun knowing damn well the result of such an incident. People who’d once been her friend tried to murder her using the sun as a weapon. Ripping her necklace from her throat. Just the thought of it enraged him over and over again and by the time he got near Summer’s he’d upped his speed beyond that of a human’s before forcing his gait to slow. He couldn’t just bang on her door all outraged, he could frighten her girls, worry her something was wrong, hell worry her that he wasn’t the one at the door.
The thought of Summer’s girls usually brought a smile to his face but it added to his rage as his mind pictured someone doing the same to either of them and he wanted to then murder an imaginary figure trying to hurt either of them to set off his ire then. Vampire’s were more accepted than they’d ever been his position as Minister was proof enough of that, but damn it made it hard to not feel as if they’d moved backwards with Grace being attacked for what he could only assume was because of what she was born as. It wasn’t as if Grace had had a choice in the matter any more than those girls had a choice who their parents were, the only difference was Grace just happened to be conceived by two vampires rendering her one as well. It was all Grace would ever know, she’d never be a normal human, and she’d always needed blood along with the normal things like food and water since she emerged from the womb. Her friends had known this and had taken it upon themselves to drop her right before their journey to Hogwarts and leave Grace entering the school alone. It had annoyed him then, it enraged him now.
Most things apparently enraged him now in his current state, and he took a deep breath as Summer’s house came into view and he approached, feeling the wards protecting it allow him entry and swallow him with the same protections as he stood on her porch and knocked on the door. He’d forced his hand to be gentle on the frame so he didn’t knock the damn thing down or frighten Summer but when she opened it he was sure she’d figure out something was wrong, that he was pissed off and seething from his expressions alone. He just had to decide if he was letting her ask the question before he went to funnel his rage into passion and kiss the hell out of her. Wouldn’t be very gentlemanly of him, and perhaps lead the wrong message so he told himself to keep his lips to himself in the bare minimum until she had the chance to at least gain an insight into what had caused his sudden ferocity.
